By the close of 2006, more
than 280 million people lived in the United States,
the median income hovered around $21,500 and it cost an average $37,000 to
live in any city. The retirement of the “Baby Boomer”
generation was fast approaching along with a lapse in the
means to support this generation's Social Security. For
this 40 to 60 year old age group, and all others coming
behind it, corporate loyalty programs had long given way to
hundreds of thousands of layoffs, across
every sector of industry since the 1980's.

The Phoenix name originates in ancient
Egyptian mythology.
The sacred phoenix was historically
known as an invincible and nearly
immortal firebird whom at the end
of each life cycle ignited and was
reduced to ashes from which it
came to be reborn to begin anew.
As I experience life, I to must place our current and
historic personal and financial failures into a pile of
emotional chaff and use it to channel a fury to ignite
the energy to fuel a fierce change within ourselves
to begin anew. |
