TIME SAVER:  Use Technology to Keep Repetitive Tasks to a Minimum.  Create labels for all of your boxes.  Using your word processor's label templates you can create custom labels that keep you from having to write on every single box in the house.  You don't need to be complicated, just call the label what it is and then if desired assign a subtitle to it.  For instance you can create a series of labels called BOOKS and then subtitle them cooking or research, etc.  You can streamline this by creating a code such as C for cookbooks or R for research books.  When the time comes for the movers to put your boxes in their respective rooms, you'll know which boxes go into which book cases before you open them.  If you need to find specific items before you unpack, you'll know exactly where to look.  Our labels included:  individual's names for personal items; bathroom 1; bathroom 2; books; film & video; fragile dishes; drinks & spirits; individualized office names; pictures & art; and cleaning supplies &  food.

The Move

KEEP SANE & RELAX
A move should be fun and exciting for you.  Now is the time to eat extremely healthy and get plenty of rest each day to keep up your strength & your spirits.

CREATE A LAYOUT OF YOUR PLACE
You can create a diagram on your computer using squares, lines and circles.  Use this layout to make a moving day placement map for your new home.

BOX YOUR THINGS
Its tough to live with boxes for an extended period of time, but if you wait too long you'll be in a frenzy packing so create your labels & take 2 weeks to pack.

DIRECT THE MOVERS
Try to have someone at your old place while you are at the new place.  Have the movers place furniture and boxes EXACTLY where they are supposed to go for minimal reshuffling.

 Getting Settled

CONGRATULATIONS!
You are almost there.  Keep up your rest and healthy eating.  Put away your Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom first so you can create places of refreshment & respite for yourself.
